Link's Inspiring women

In honor of Women’s History Month, Link is recognizing the incredible women who make our company exceptional.

Meet Ellora Bracy, Office Administrator/Production Clerk here at Link Solutions, Inc. Ellora supports telecommunications and facility operations across multiple military medical sites by coordinating with civilian and military customers, technicians, and service providers. She maintains DOD-controlled telephone records in several systems and manages the full lifecycle and metrics of trouble tickets and work orders. She also oversees walk-in access to IMD, NIPR, and SIPR areas for authorized personnel.

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED IN THE INDUSTRY, AND WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE THIS PATh?

I have not had the luxury of planning my career due to starting a family early in life, but I have a strong love for math, science, and engineering, so I just kind of fell into it. I have always worked hard at whatever job I had, therefore, as I gained more experience, it just made sense to stay on this career path. It has always been a great way to meet my standard of living, even when I was a single parent many years ago, and I predict that this industry will continue to be key far into the future.

What advice do you have for women starting their careers?

My advice to others would be to ask lots of questions, be willing to put in the hours both on the job and on your own time and never stop asking questions until you understand the ‘why’ of something, not just the how. Understanding how you fit into and affect the process is gold!

HOw does Link support you in your professional goals?

Link Solutions’ standardized process and continuous improvement driven approach to how they run their business is key to me. I was a leader in the Aerospace industry for over 30 years, and it was required there and that is how I have always tried to approach things, right down to how I get ready for the workday, clean my house, and cook meals for my family.

What inspires you?

Well, besides my family and friends, I guess what inspires me the most is continually learning and growing. Every day should be something new that’s interesting to me. That is what keeps driving me to ask the next question, look for the next clever innovation, or see what is around the next bend.
